If you’ve recently joined Football Index, you’ve only joined up to have fun, but more importantly make money.
You’re in luck, as this post is a quick guide, telling you how to make money.
It’s not a direct walkthrough how to make money, unfortunately I don’t have a crystal ball, but it would be nice on the Football Stock Market for sure…
Ways of making money
There are three ways to make money on Football Index.
Media Buzz, Match Day Performance & Capital Appreciation.
Let’s go into a little more depth.
Media Buzz is by far the easiest dividend you can win, as there’s a much smaller player pool than the Match Day Performance dividend. The Top 200 priced players get points per article, the players with the most points will then earn a dividend.
The Media Buzz payout is a minimum of £0.05 per share, per day.
When there are no performance buzz eligible games, there will be THREE payouts for Media Buzz. £0.08, £0.05 and £0.02 for the Top 3 Media Buzz Players.

Match Day Performance
The next dividend is also known as Performance Buzz, or PB.
This is a dividend which your player will win, if he performs well on the pitch.
This is open to every player on the index, providing he is in a Performance Buzz Eligible League.
This is the traditional trading method of buying low and selling high.
It’s not something you can guarantee, but with good youth player knowledge, it can be easier.
Planning a successful portfolio
On the Football Index market, you get what you pay for. By this, I mean that although a £15 Messi sounds expensive, he will earn you far more in dividends over the course of a season, than a £1 player for Nantes might!
It all depends on the type of portfolio you wish to build. You can be successful without obtaining dividends, but players that earn dividends tend to rocket in price, as they’re giving you an instant return.
You can build the following (as examples):
A Youth Driven portfolio – This won’t earn you much in dividends, as it’s focused on Capital Appreciation. You will be hoping for your youth prospects to break into the first team, or transfer to a top club.
A Dividend Portfolio – This will come at a ‘premium’ cost. The reason for this is that you will be expected to be earning dividends, sometimes on a daily basis.
Another suggestion would be to have a combination of the two!
There are other strategies such as picking players that have the ability to score hat-tricks etc, Football Index Edge have a great membership software which has lots of data, where you can find the best Performance Buzz players with detailed research.
